If you’ve been patiently awaiting the opportunity to play Mighty No.9 in a few weeks, you’re not going to be too happy about this one.
Delayed twice already, the much anticipated platformer from Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune is getting a third delay of game. Announced recently in a letter to backers of the original Kickstarter campaign for the game, Inafune called the hold-up “disappointing” and said that there were “no excuses” for making gamers wait even longer.
He added that there are issues with the title still, in specific with the online modes, and that his development team at Comcept are having to actually go into the game and reprogram whole parts of the engine (which is no longer being updated apparently). So basically, if this was solely a single player affair we’d be playing it on the 9th.
Yay multiplayer.
Look for Mighty No.9 to hit for just about every platform under the sun some time this Spring… yes, that’s right, I said “Spring”. There’s no firm release date at this point. We’ll keep you posted.
