Fist of the North Star’s Kenshiro coming to Fatal Fury

The latest Fatal Fury title from SNK is welcoming in an icon. Fist of the North Star’s Kenshiro is on his way to South Town.

That Kenshiro?!

Yes, that Kenshiro. Hailing from all-time favorite Fist of the North Star, Kenshiro will be bringing his mysterious martial arts style to the battlefield of South Town. Fans can look for him to be the sixth DLC fighter in the latest season of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.

The icon was revealed this past weekend at one of the biggest anime events on the calendar, AnimeJapan 2026. Even so though, there isn’t a full look at him in action just yet. But if you’d like to get an early look, check out the trailer below.

The legendary fighter who survived the end of the century descends on South Town in FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves. How will Kenshiro, with his commanding presence, blend in with the game’s mechanics and mayhem? Time will tell…

SNK press release

Yeah, that’s not much of a look, but what SNK has so far shown off does look pretty slick. Stay tuned though, we’re sure there’ll be a beefier trailer coming some time in the next few months. Speaking of, Kenshiro will be available to add onto all versions of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves in June.

A full roster

As mentioned, the Fist of the North Star hero fills out a downloadable content roster that’s still not completely revealed. The current season of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is ongoing, and has dropped a trio of releases so far. Kim Jae Hoon led the way for those, followed by Nightmare Geese, and Blue Mary.

Those are just the first offerings though, and the chunky schedule of DLC has three more to go. Next up will be Krauser, who’s arriving in April, and will be followed by a mystery fighter landing in May. Just who that might be hasn’t even been hinted at to date, so your guess is as good as ours.

We will add too, that we do think it’s a little odd that Kenshiro was named before May’s fighter. Given that he’s not actually coming to the game until June, it has us wondering at the identity of that second upcoming character. Could he/she be another crossover fighter?

Stay tuned, and we’ll let you know as soon as we do.
