Kirby hits the Switch 2 this week, along with Sega’s Shinobi revival, Space Adventure Cobra, Star Trek: Resurgence, and lots more.

The pink puffball is back

Is Kirby one of Nintendo’s second tier characters? Maybe, but if he is, he’s still super-popular nonetheless. And while Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World isn’t exactly ‘all new’, it’s packing some extras that haven’t been seen before.

The bulk of the game has, of course, been seen on the original Switch. But adding to the Switch 2 enhanced version of Kirby and the Forgotten Land is Star Crossed World, which does bring some new twists on the game’s levels. That’s not to say that Kirby is an island this week though, as there’s a ton of other stuff landing as well. And some of it is fairly notable.

Leading off there, is Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, a rebirth for Sega’s classic ninja action series. This new game looks both terrific and tough, bringing the iconic Shinobi brand back to precision side-scrolling. There’s more as well, with the Nintendo DS’ STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar, the anime actioner Space Adventure Cobra, and a surprise port of Star Trek: Resurgence. It might be a little rough around the edges, but we’re rather fond of that last one.

After finding your village burned to the ground and your clan turned to stone, you must set off on a quest for vengeance, ready to face an unparalleled evil to avenge your clan.
