RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business is ready for action

The standalone expansion for 2023’s RobopCop: Rogue City, Unfinished Business has landed for consoles and the PC today.

Thank you for your cooperation

One of the biggest (not to mention nicest) surprises in recent years was NACON and developer Teyon’s RoboCop: Rogue City. A game that paid utmost honors to its source material, the first-person shooter was loaded with classic RoboCop characters and story elements, taking place between the second and third movies.

And while there’s no word on a full sequel just yet, there is a pretty impressive looking standalone expansion called RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business. Just released (digitally) today, the fresh adventure sends Robo into a totally new location, a mega-apartment building that’s been overrun with mercenaries.

The locale isn’t all that’s new though, as the game includes a new weapon with the icy cryo-cannon, new foes like the merc leader Cassius Graves, and special moves for finishing opponents off. That’s plus the ability to play as Alex Murphy (in flashback scenes) for the first time, and even slip into the controls of an ED-209 bot.

The OmniTower, an immense residential complex designed to house the residents of Old Detroit during the construction of Delta City, has been taken over by a group of mercenaries to turn it into a deadly fortress. With the police overwhelmed, RoboCop is once again called in to deliver justice and finish the job.

NACON press release

RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business is out now digitally for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and GOG). Remember too, this is a standalone expansion, so you don’t have to own a copy of the base game to play.

As for physical copies, those are on the way for the Xbox Series X|S and PS5, but you’ll have to wait just a tad longer for them. They’ll hit retail on August 1st.
