Legendary ‘life sim’ video game The Sims is about to head to the tabletop, with a brand new board game from GOLIATH GAMES.
PC/console not required
EA’s The Sims has pretty much been a phenomenon since its birth. Originally a PC game before leaping to additional platforms, The Sims first arrived in February of 2000, capturing a huge audience of both traditional game fans and those who were just enraptured by its originality.
Since then, the game has spawned multiple sequels that were capped by 2014’s The Sims 4. Though that was the last numbered installment though, don’t be fooled, because the series hardly ended there. There have been a staggering number of expansion packs for all of the base games, and that includes a whopping 18 packs that’ve seen release for that latest sequel.

Now it’s time for something a little different from the property though, something a little more… real. And as you can see above, that means a tabletop game. From publisher Goliath Games, The Sims Board Game sounds like it will bring much of what makes the video games so great to this new format.
Goliath says that the upcoming title will “capture the spirit of creativity, self-expression, and gameplay that has made the video game a global, pop culture phenomenon.”
