High Tide brings the Sea Peoples culture to Total War: Pharaoh

Sega and Creative Assembly’s strategy war game Total War: Pharaoh is about to expand with the High Tide update.

The fight for the throne expands

A collection of vicious, warring groups, the Sea Peoples are coming to join the battle for the throne of Egypt. That will come to pass by way of the High Tide pack, a new update for Total War: Pharaoh that bring two new factions and their leaders to fans.

And lest you think that the description given to them sounds like they shouldn’t be much of threat to Egypt’s heavy hitters… well, think again.

The Sea Peoples are warring hordes of nomads who sail the Mediterranean to exploit the chaos of the Bronze Age Collapse. With the ancient empires of Egypt, Canaan and the Hittites descending into total war, they arrive on their troubled shores to fight, raze and conquer everything in sight. As a horde faction The Sea Peoples must stay on the war path to survive, and only through constant conquest can you sustain the Sherden and Peleset hordes and emerge victorious.

Sega press release

Both the Sherden and the Peleset factions will be included in High Tide, and both will stock new units and new strategies to make use of. Owners of the base game (out now on the PC) can look for the download to arrive this month, on January 25th, 2024.
