Black Friday means sales and deals, and Nintendo has some of both lined up for fans. And yes, that includes the return of the Mario Kart 8 bundle.
Why change it?
Is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe still popular? Oh you better believe it is, with the Wii U-turned-Switch title still being a big fan-favorite and seeing plenty of play time. All you have to do to see that, is log onto YouTube. It’s still being booted up all over the place.
So that might be a reason why then, that Nintendo has once again seen fit to bring MK8’s game/Switch bundle deal back. Once again, and for $299 USD, the deal will include a digital copy of the title along with a 3 month Switch online subscription, and a blue and red Switch console.
Is it still a good offer, in the face of the OLED Switch’s availability? Yeah, of course it is. MK8 is still fantastically fun, and if you play docked most of the time, there’s really no reason to spring for an OLED Switch.
There’s a bit more though, to the company’s Holiday offerings. Nintendo will also be serving up some of the biggest Switch games for less, with $20-off sale prices.
Those games include:
- Mario Party Superstars
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons
- The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
- Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes
- BRAVELY DEFAULT II
Additionally, Mario Kart Home Circuit will see a $40 price cut, and WarioWare: Get it Together! and Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain will both see an oddball 33% sliced off their price tags.
“This holiday season, we want to give even more families the opportunity to get together and experience everything the Nintendo Switch system has to offer,” said Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser. “Our Black Friday Nintendo Switch bundle and deals on games make this the perfect season for families looking to connect and spend quality time together.”
Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America president
Look for the above sales and deals to begin on November 20th, just in time for the Holiday rush to begin. While you’re shopping too, don’t forget that Nintendo’s big year-end titles are out there as well, with Splatoon 3, Mario+Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, and both Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (due November 18th).
