The Walking Dead Onslaught gets physical edition

Survios Inc. and Perp Games’ virtual reality adaptation of the hit TV show, The Walking Dead Onslaught, is heading to retail on PSVR.

The walkers rise

Out since late last month, The Walking Dead Onslaught brings the action of the zombified television show back to Vive, Oculus, and PSVR users. But for those who prefer physical editions of their games, that’s on the way as well when it comes to the PS4 edition, and in short order.

The Walking Dead Onslaught tells an untold story set shortly after the Savior War in an Alexandria devastated by the fighting and struggling over its ideals. As Darly Dixon (Norman Reedus), players will slash through walkers as they recount a fateful encounter with a mysterious stranger lurking outside the town’s walls. The game’s infinitely replayable Scavenger Mode allows players to embark on supply runs as Rick, Darly, Michonne, and Carol, where they’ll encounter overwhelming hordes of walkers and collect important resources to rebuild their community, upgrade and modify iconic weapons from the show, find new survivors, and unlock new quests.

The Walking Dead Onslaught press release

As for that physical launch, depending on where you are in the world it might already be out there. The PSVR edition of The Walking Dead Onslaught is out now in Europe, and set for the 13th of the month in the US.

Retail flavors include Standard, Deluxe, and Survivor Editions. You can grab them via Game, Amazon, Shop4World and more if you’re in Europe. In the States? Then you’re going to want to take a look at Best Buy’s offerings.
