Space Hulk: Tactics sets a release date in its sights

The latest game to bear the Space Hulk title is a turn based strategy affair with a tactical bent. Space Hulk: Tactics hits consoles and PC this fall.

The Space Marines from Games Workshop’s sci-fi/fantasy universe are really getting quite the workout this year. For a change too, most of these games have been pretty good. And I believe there’ve been a few that’ve had the Space Hulk name plastered across them.

Space Hulk: Tactics is different than all of them though. That’s because it’s a turn-based strategy game. And this time, you can play as the Genestealers. Actually, you can play as one of four different Genestealer Hive Fleets, or four different Space Marine chapters.

As you can see from the trailer, Tactics has a few more new things going for it. There’s a card system to go along with the strategic gameplay, tons of customization, and a very cool looking mission editor so you can make your own adventures. Those will be sharable too, across online platforms.

The game is available right now to pre-order on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. If you’re ordering on Steam , you will get a neat little 10% off the price too. Always nice to get. Expect to see Space Hulk: Tactics boarding consoles and the PC on October 9th.
