Warner Bros’ Middle-earth sequel Shadow of War opens up its vast world for exploration… and copious amounts of Orc hunting.
Nothing will be forgotten
Well, if you’re a Shadow of Mordor fan, there’s a lot to like there. The world of Shadow of War seems much more detailed than Shadow of Mordor, which was already pretty terrific. This time around though, the keeps and castles seem better realized. And it definitely looks like the locations are more varied as well. Nice stuff all around.
The video introduces viewers to the vast environments within Middle-earth, stretching beyond Mordor, and giving fans the first glimpse of various new environments to explore, including the Island of Nurn, Cirith Ungol, Gorgoroth and more. Through the innovative Nemesis System, every player experiences a unique world to explore and share and every area of the world is larger, more varied and more dynamic than ever before.
And though this was meant to be a look at the world of Shadow of War, there was a lot of action to get pumped about too. The gameplay in the Middle-earth series looks more than intact too. Actually, it looks much improved with more visceral, bloody action than in its predecessor. Lopping heads off trolls? Yes please.
Fans are only a few months away from doing just that too. Middle-earth: Shadow of War is set to arrive on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on August 25th.
