It’s almost a decade now and however no “ifs” and “buts” AC1 was one of the game that was ahead of its time in many terms. And now with the final version of Assassin’s Creed overhaul Mod, the AC fans can relive the experience with improved graphics.
In May 2014, mod creator Hecumarine released Assassin’s Creed Overhaul Mod. The mod offers completely different visuals, graphics, changed particles, different NPC skins, effects and shaders injector. The goal of this mod is to change most textures from original AC1 to those from Assassin’s Creed Revelations and adding unique new textures, so players will feel like they are playing Altair memories in Revelations rather than in old AC1 from 2007.

Mod Features:
- Improved particles, especially smoke and fire.
- Texture resolution doubled. From 256×256 to 512×512 and 512×512 to 1024×1024.
- Color correction improved further.
- Some texture fixes.
- Improvements of all cities including additional textures.
- Facial textures and outfits of important characters improved.
- Generic NPCs improved including guards and citizens.
