Ubisoft has announced that the closed beta for their upcoming racer will be hitting next generation consoles this week.
One of the most talked about racing titles scheduled to be hitting consoles this Fall/Holiday, The Crew sends gamers on a race across the US, where pretty much anything goes. In terms of the beta that’s hitting on the 6th (this Thursday), you’ll be able to experience a surprisingly large amount of what Ubisoft has cooked up for the final retail edition.
Gamers will be treated to two of the five regions that are set to be offered in the game, the Midwest and the East Coast. This duo of regions will be loaded up with activities and will be as fully fleshed out as the actual game will be, including seamless transitioning between areas. Ubisoft is promising that beta gamers will get a taste of the “enormous living, breathing open world” that The Crew has in store with this bite-sized version. PvP will also be accessible right off the bat and will include some competitive racing action. You’ll also be able to customize your ride with a quartet of spec classes.
The beta launches on the 6th, and is set to close on November 10th, so you’ll get a good four days of play out of this one. It’s open to all Xbox Live and PSN members, though some of the online stuff will require an Xbox Live Gold or PS+ membership to access. As for the full game, that hits the streets on the Xbox One and PS4 on December 2nd
