Orcs and humans, battling over a football. It’s not gonna be pretty.
Looking head and shoulders better than the first game (well, not the first game, but you get the picture) in the series, Blood Bowl 2 looks like it might have some championship swagger for this new season. Cyanide studios has put together a brand new engine for the game complete with all-new animation and “dynamic cameras enhancing the brutal atmosphere of the matches”. Oh, and that’s the smooth sound of Cabalvision’s Jim Johnson and Bob Bifford you hear calling all the plays and brutality on the field.
Basically, expect a ton more to do this time around other than the visual and auditory enhancements, and you can also expect the game to be better suited to new players and easier to learn than it has in the past as well. The solo mode will be chunkier with more to do as you guide the Reikland Reavers to the top of the league in a campaign, and the League mode will allow players to manage everything about their very own squad, from players to the stadium itself.
Multiplayer has also seen a revamp, but isn’t being talked about just yet. No release date as of yet for this one either, but stay tuned and we’ll let you know as soon as we do.
