Nintendo Download: Gungeon Crawler

Enter the Gungeon and Yooka Laylee arrive in a pretty big week for the Switch.

Dungeon crawling and platforming

So this is kind of a surprise week for Switch fans. Gungeon aside, I think it’s probably safe to say that the release of Yooka Laylee had been all but forgotten. After all, it’s been some time since it was announced and it’s kind of gotten no attention or any real push to speak of.

Landing to some fanfare earlier this year, we reviewed Yooka on the PS4 and tagged it with an impressive 88%. The game, crafted by Playtonic Games, is a pretty solid spiritual successor to Banjo Kazooie, only held back by some design issues.

It’s arguably most at home though, on the Switch, given the themes. So it’s cool to see it finally appear on the Nintendo platform.

This week also brings Romancing SaGa 2, Mutant Mudds Collection, and a pair of pinball titles, among others. So it’s a pretty big week that kind of appeared out of nowhere.

Have a look below.
