Turtle Beach’s Star Wars headsets are pretty freaking cool

So, somehow we missed this one, but Turtle Beach’s newest branded headset is just what the Force ordered.

We somehow missed posting this awesome-looking headset when it was announced at PAX Prime a few weeks back, but I couldn’t resist putting something up about it anyway, since it’s so neat. I’m not usually one for branded headsets either, but there’s something about the design on this one that’s just so great.

You might already be familiar with Turtle Beach’s X-Wing Pilot headset, as that’s equally as cool as this one, but the Sandtrooper ‘set is the newest announcement from the company and is a limited edition, Best Buy exclusive. You’ll still be able to find the ‘standard edition’ of the Sandtrooper at stores across “UK, Australia, and in select territories across Europe”, but the ‘limited edition’ is exclusively Best Buy’s for the US.

Each one is individually numbered, and includes a second set of speaker plates, which you can swap in and out at your preference. As for the headset itself, as you can see, it’s modeled to look like the iconic Sandtrooper armor from the original trilogy.

“With as many Star Wars fanatics as we have at Turtle Beach, it’s been hard to not let the droid out of the bag about this unique gaming headset,” said Juergen Stark, CEO, Turtle Beach Corporation. “Our top-quality gaming headsets allow us to work with the biggest brands in the world, and we’re very happy to continue our ongoing collaboration with Lucasfilm and EA to support Star Wars Battlefront. We’re also excited about this great opportunity with our U.S. retail partner, Best Buy, to offer the Sandtrooper headset to fans looking to collect limited edition Star Wars gear and fully immerse themselves in the audio landscape that can only be served-up through the Star Wars universe.”

The headset is available right now for order via Best Buy both in and out of the US, just remember that the Limited Edition model is exclusive to the States. The Sandtrooper Limited Edition (and regular for international audiences) headset launches on November 1st, you can get it here.
