If you thought life in a regular bunker would be rough, wait’ll you see the Zombie Bunker. It’s just as cramped and 100% smellier.
Daniel Garner is going back into the hellish world of Painkiller: Hell & Damnation with the release of the latest downloadable add-on, the Zombie Bunker. The new content adds the new single player mission The Bunker (complete with a boss fight) and a new multiplayer map called DM Frankenstein.
Also altered with the new DLC is the Leningrad map, which has been re-titled Stalingrad and now includes airstrikes, zeppelins, and airborne zombies… which sounds like a horrible nightmare I had once.
Here’s what’s in the pack:
- Reworked map: In Stalingrad (former “Leningrad”) – Inbound airstrikes, airplanes and Zeppelins firebomb our hero and even deploy Zombie Soldiers from above!
- Area 51 and Cold War will hit you hard in the reworked map “Military Base” – Space Commandos, UFO boss fight and nuclear missiles
- Two new rocket launchers (environment weapons)
- One new Multiplayer map: DM Fragenstein, playable in various Multiplayer modes
- New enemies: Russian, American, and German Zombie Soldiers as well as their tanks!
- New melee weapon: The “Morgenstern” – Smite your enemies with its spiky ball at short distances, or deploy sticky mines to battle from afar.
- New Silver Tarot card: Armor Regeneration (recharging your collected armor)
Players will have to guide Garner through the assembled forces of the damned. American, German, and Russian forces that have been demonically twisted will all stand in your way.
“We wanted to put players on the front line with this DLC and create a terrifying military experience that players will need to work hard against in order to succeed,” Reinhard Pollice, Business & Product Development Director at Nordic Games. “The new maps will immerse players in a truly demonic military world.”
Catch Painkiller: Hell & Damnation – Zombie Bunker available now on Steam from The Farm 51 and Nordic Games. Hell & Damnation will also be available on the Xbox 360 and PS3 soon, you can grab that version for yourself on May 31st.
