Celebrate the Holidays with Yooka-Replaylee

PM Studios and developer Playtonic Games’ Yooka-Replaylee is here, and in retail form. Just in time for a little gift-giving.

A Yooka-Replaylee kinda Christmas

Looking better than ever it Yooka-Laylee, which is back in Yooka-Replaylee form. The game’s been a while in the offing, revealed last year as a remake of the 2017 original. From what we’ve seen thus far too, it’s looking sharp, with updated graphics and an orchestral soundtrack. The new version of the game also touts a bigger play map, in-game currency, and more.

Here’s a look at it in action:

Yooka-Replaylee is the ultimate, rebuilt and enhanced version of the 3D indie platforming collectathon darling, Yooka-Laylee, developed by key creative talent behind the Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country games. New remixed challenges and old favorites await as you embark to explore the huge, beautiful open worlds as the lovable buddy-duo Yooka and Laylee once more, all while backed by a beautiful orchestral soundtrack. Did we mention there’s an even more expansive map now? A shiny new currency? And tons of customization options? Your favorite buddy duo has never moved, looked, or sounded better!

PM Studios press release

Now, you might be thinking you’re in the Twilight Zone, if you remember Yooka-Replaylee actually launching a few months back. You’re not wrong, however that was the digital release. Yep, the dynamic and animalistic duo has seen fit to grace retail shelves as well.

In a nice surprise, physical versions of the game are out and about right now, and just in time for the Holidays. The worldwide launch covers all of the major current platforms, including the Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Switch 2. If you end up picking a copy up, you’ll even be in for some bonuses. Along with a copy of the game itself, this new physical pack includes a sticker pack and a map.

Boxed editions of Yooka-Replaylee are priced in at $49.99 USD.
