Announced just last week, peripheral maker CRKD is getting ready to rock. Again. This time it’s a Drum-Kit that’s on the way.
CRKD hits the Drums
It wasn’t all that long ago, that peripheral company CRKD shot new life into the rhythm genre. Though there are still no new games outside of Fortnite Festival on retail shelves, there are some new controllers. Those came in the form of the company’s Gibson Les-Paul Guitar Controllers, a pair of them. But that’s not all that CRKD has cooked up. From the looks of it, it might just be the start, as a Drum-Kit Controller has now been made official.
The unit looks like we’d expect, and seems right in line with legacy releases. The Set will come complete with four drum pads, a trio of cymbals, and a foot pedal. So if you’ve been itching to get back into rumbling your way through the cadre of compatible titles out there, you’ll soon have your chance.
More to come
So, what did you think of that video teaser? From what we’ve seen, the upcoming Drum-Kit Controllers are looking slick. Unfortunately though, what you just watched is about all the information that’s out there right now. CRKD is being a tad shy on the details of what fans can expect when the controller drops, pointing to “more information when the time is right”.
And as you can likely imagine, there are a bunch of questions. Those include what games the Drum-Kit Controllers will work with. And right in line with that, are what platforms we can expect them to be compatible with. CRKD does add that the Drum-Kit Controller launch is being driven “by the community” however. That might be a tipoff, though we’re still crossing our fingers it’ll work with our favorite titles.
If you just can’t wait to learn more, then you can sign up to be one of the first to get the scoop. CRKD has forwarded this link to that end. As it stands otherwise, you can look for the Drum-Kit Controller to arrive some time in 2026.
