It’s time to catch ’em all once again. This week brings Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition for both of Nintendo’s consoles.
Pokémon hits the Switch 2
Another big year-one launch for the Switch 2 has arrived as of today, along with its Switch edition. One of Nintendo’s best-loved series’, Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is historic for a few reasons. Yes, one of them is that it’s the first Pokémon title for the Switch 2, but there is more.
A gameplay-first in the series, players can now “catch, battle and Mega Evolve” their pocket monsters in real time. It’s a seemingly big mechanic switch, and one that should liven up catching ’em all in this fresh release. A couple more notes on the game, before we move on too, as Pokémon Legends: Z-A has an upgrade path for those who buy in for the Switch version, and might want to bump up to that Switch 2 edition. And in addition to that, there’s also a Switch 2 console bundle coming up, including a digital copy of the game. It doesn’t include a spacial-branded Switch 2 or anything, but it’s still something to keep in mind.
Aside from the potential blockbuster above, this week also brings the latest in one of Ubisoft’s longest-lived series. That title would be Just Dance 2026 Edition, a game that’l present 40 tracks to bust a move to. So if you like moving and grooving it might make for a nice pick.
Past those, there are also some pre-orders to get in on, as well as the usual assortment of smaller and indie titles landing. Check out the full listing below.
