Kasedo Games is holding a very special competition for the upcoming Mechanicus II, and it’s all about your coloring skill.
Who knew the Mechanicus was so stylish
Are you a Warhammer 40K fan? Would you like to win a ton of stuff pertaining to your favorite tabletop game, plus a copy of Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II? Well, yeah, we’re just going to assume that you would. And if that’s so, then read on for one great-sounding competition.
Said event hails from Kasedo Games, the studio behind the upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II. It’s going to be serving participants a killer lineup of prizes too, that bridges the gap from tabletop to video game. This isn’t your general run of the mill activity though, and will take some creativity to win.
In the just-revealed event, fans will have to choose their allegiance, picking the faction commander from either the Necron (Nefershah) or Adeptus Mechanicus (Faustinius). After that, they’ll download a PDF image of either one, delivered in black and white, and… color it “in their own unique style.” How’s that for a fun time?

There’ll be two winners at the end of the event, one from Necrons and one from the Adeptus Mechanicus. Both of those triumphant fans will be in for a heck of a prize pack too, with a copy of the video game in question plus a horde of tabletop goodies. How big of a horde? How does “more than £500 worth of Warhammer miniatures” sound to you? That and the copy of the game will bring the prize total to a whopping £600 in value.
If you’d like to take part, click here for the official page. There you can check out the rules in full, and hit that download to grab your coloring subject. Don’t take too long to create your design though, as this happening closes up on November 13th, 2025.
Turn-based battling
Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II picks up its action from the 2018 original. In it, players will be presented by two campaigns, one Necron and one Mechanicus. The action will be situated on a Tomb World that’s just waking up, the title pits the two factions against one another.
The Necrons are of course looking to take back what’s theirs, while the Mechanicus see to defend their newly founded operations.
If you’re digging what you see above, and want to try Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II out, you’re in luck. The game has a demo that’s up on Steam for the PC right now, as a part of Next Fest. Kasedo Games says that players will be able to assemble a force from “a vastly expanded selection of fighters from each faction’s range” in this early look. After that, fans will dig into the turn-based strategy gameplay, plus get a feel for the strengths and weaknesses of both factions.
As for a final retail release, that’s still a little mysterious. No date has been revealed as of yet for Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II on PC or consoles.
