A fresh infusion of grapplers just arrived for WWE 2K25. Victoria, Mark Henry, D’Lo Brown, and more are on tap for the Attitude Era pack.
The WWE had Attitude
Indeed, the WWE did have quite the attitude during the so-called Attitude Era. For the uninitiated, that’s in reference to a good chunk of the 90s. It’s when the Monday Night Wars with WCW pushed the promotion to the edge.
And boy do we mean that, as the WWE (then WWF) got louder, meaner, and cruder than ever before. The gambit definitely worked, as the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin and company pulled out a win, burying their rival company when all was said and done.
The WWE has gone through several evolutions in the decades since then of course. But even so, the Attitude Era is still one of its biggest and best-loved time periods. With that in mind, it only makes sense that it’s be the focus of one of WWE 2K25‘s downloadable-content packs.
That just dropped in today, for both consoles and the PC. And yeah, it’s packed with more nostalgia than you can shake a steel chair at.
Bringing the Attitude
One of the more stacked collections of talent to be offered for WWE 2K25, the Attitude Era Superstars Pack is loaded. It spans the former roster, serving up superstars D’Lo Brown, Billy Gunn and Road Dogg, Victoria, and Mark Henry.
D’Lo Brown debuted as a member of the imposing Nation of Domination stable, establishing himself with his impressive ‘Lo Down frog splash finisher, often aided by his signature chest protector, and his unique head shake taunt. Brown would capture the Intercontinental Championship and held the European Championship four times during his WWE career, tied for most reigns ever with that title.
One of the most disruptive and electrifying tag teams in history, The New Age Outlaws, comprised of “Road Dogg” Jesse James and “Badd Ass” Billy Gunn, served up unpredictability and a penchant for controversy, backed by Gunn’s in-ring ability and James’ memorable gift of gab. Members of the WWE Hall of Fame inductee D-Generation X stable, James and Gunn captured the World Tag Team Championships together five times, and enjoyed a one-time reign as WWE Tag Team Championships, with each of them individually having held the Intercontinental and Hardcore Championships.
A two-time WWE Women’s Champion, Victoria utilized her impressive power and physique as a former strength sports and fitness competitor to dominate the WWE women’s roster. Known for her punishing Widow’s Peak finishing move, she holds victories over legendary Superstars including Trish Stratus, Lita, and Molly Holly.
WWE has seen many impressive physical specimens step into the ring, but few can lay claim to the resume of the “World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry. A WWE Hall of Famer, Henry is a former World Heavyweight Champion, ECW Champion, and European Champion. A two-time Olympian prior to his WWE debut, Henry still holds unbroken powerlifting records. Henry displayed great versatility and an ability to reinvent himself throughout his lengthy WWE career, which included stints as a menacing member of the Nation of Domination stable, a comedic turn as a flirtatious ladies’ man, and the version represented in the Attitude Era Superstars Pack: A dominant powerhouse who forcibly inducted his opponents into the figurative “Hall of Pain.”
2K press release
The pack, which is out now, is available for purchase separately or as a part of WWE 2K25‘s Season Pass or Ringside Pass. It’s also included in the game’s special The Bloodline Edition and Deadman Edition. So if you have any of the above, you’re already good to go.
It should also be mentioned that the usual assortment of MyFACTION cards are included for each superstar, though there’s more. Along with the above, there’s also the Hall of Legends expansion for The Island.
Bringing the legends to The Island
Available only on the Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, WWE 2K25’s open-world experience that is The Island is getting a little bigger. The mode, which allows players to take a created superstar through a series of matches and events, now has two new legends.

The Hall of Legends expansion includes both Goldberg and Nikki Bella, plus the new Hall of Legends Arena. The new arena might be specific to the mode, but that doesn’t mean that the wrestlers are. On the contrary, the expansion unlocks both Goldberg and Nikki Bella for use in other modes as well. Players who grab the pack should be able to field them anywhere other than MyFACTION.
They’re also not all that’s included. Both “new The Island quest storyline content and new unlockable creation parts” are also on board. Speaking of ‘grabbing’ this expansion though, you apparently can’t just buy it. Instead, fans can only purchase it in-game, with 50,000 VC. So yeah, if you’re a big fan of either star and you’re running low on the in-game currency, you might want to get to it.
