Go behind the scenes of Saber Interactive’s upcoming Jurassic Park: Survival

Isla Nublar is in shambles in the wake of the film’s events, and it’ll be up to players to make their own way in Jurassic Park: Survival.

Dino-terror

We last told you about Jurassic Park: Survival some time ago, but now developer Saber Interactive and Universal Products & Experiences are back with an update. And for those who’ve been eagerly awaiting the game’s launch, it’s a meaty one, with a look at what’s been happening behind the scenes.

As a quick refresher, and for those who don’t recall, Jurassic Park: Survival takes place back in the original trilogy of films. Actually, it takes place in the literal hours after the events of Jurassic Park. And for fans of the franchise’s video gaming installments, it’s probably going to hit a bit different.

Players won’t field a member of the security team in the game, or even one of the main cast, but an InGen scientist named Maya Joshi. She’s no survivalist, but it’ll be up to the tech to find a way off of the ill-fated isle, outlasting the iconic dinosaurs that are now let loose in the process.

Being that this is Jurassic Park and not Jurassic World too, fans can expect all the classic beasts to return. And from the looks of the just-dropped featurette, they’ll all be in fine form. The video presentation lends a much better look at the game than what we’ve seen to date, including plenty of locations, a few hints at big moments, and Rexy herself.

Saber Interactive, in partnership with Universal Products & Experiences, has released a new video detailing the making of Jurassic Park: Survival, in development for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This newest look at the title shows how the teams at Saber and NBCUniversal are working together to create the immersive experience Jurassic Park fans have dreamed of for decades: the opportunity to explore a fully realized Isla Nublar in an all-new story set one day after the events of the beloved 1993 Jurassic Park film from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment.

Saber Interactive press release

Looking good so far, Jurassic Park: Survival is inbound for release on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. While there’s no release date just yet, wish-listing is open now.
