Jumping from VR to PS5 and the PC is developer Survios’ Alien: Rogue Incursion, and Comic Con saw a first look at the game hatch out.
The terror returns
Readers might remember the name Alien: Rogue Incursion well. Or at least, they should, since it wasn’t all that long ago that the game saw launch for virtual reality platforms. The action title cast players as a former colonial marine named Zula Hendricks. A research facility that had been overrun by xenomorphs was the setting, bringing players face to face with the creatures.
But although things started on VR, Alien: Rogue Incursion isn’t staying there. While we had reported on that port previously, we’ve finally gotten our first look at it in action. A San Diego Comic Con appearance has delivered that, and it definitely looks like it’s a fair shake different than what’s come before.
The first thing we noticed was the sheer amount of xenos on screen, but there’s more to this non-VR revision. According to Survios, the beasts are more aggressive now, and the company goes on to say they’re smarter as well. But changes in enemy behavior is just part of the port. Along with AI changes, Alien: Rogue Incursion – Part One also is set to deliver “enhanced visuals”, and will run at 60fps.

Set in the Alien film universe, Alien: Rogue Incursion – Part One sees players suit up as rogue Colonial Marine Zula Hendricks on a mission to the planet Purdan (LV-354) in search of a former squadmate. After a sudden attack, Zula and her Synthetic companion, Davis 01 find themselves in Gemini Exoplanet Solutions’ hauntingly desolate research facility, Castor’s Cradle.
In the terrifying new trailer, fans get a first look at the Evolved Edition’s even smarter and deadlier Xenomorphs in action, alongside enhanced visuals on display, including running at 60 FPS.

Alien: Rogue Incursion – Part One is coming up for launch on the PS5 and PC, landing on September 30th. Pre-orders are open now for both the standard and Digital Deluxe editions.
