So it turns out that you’ll be playing the ‘villain’ (kinda) in High on Life 2. Get the skinny on that and way more in the new dev breakdown.
Get high again
Fans of High on Life, and we mean the original, are used to the title delivering a pretty wild ride. But while that first game had players saving humanity from being used as a drug for aliens, the sequel takes a somewhat more complex course.
First, there’s a totally new threat to humanity that’s bubbled up, in the form of an alien ‘big pharma’ company that wants to make antidepressants out of mankind. That’s not great, but there’s more, as the faceless character from the first game is not only back, but a famous interstellar bounty hunter. Thing is, while said character is more or less on the side of justice when the game begins, it isn’t long before that theme makes a detour thanks to a little family drama.
Find out what that means, and loads more in the new developer breakdown for the game, which also digs into the weapons, location, and more for High on Life 2.
High On Life 2’s trailer marks the first appearance of not only unseen exotic locales, but several dynamic weapons – Spano introduces the latest additions as Travis and Jan, Sheath, and Bowie (aptly named as your all-new bow and arrow). Beyond the arsenal expansion sure to elevate the combative gameplay experience, High On Life 2 promises to get up close and personal with an eccentric cast of bizarre and subversive lifeforms voiced by an all-star comedy cast.
