Get a look at what’s coming to Stygian: Outer Gods in the horror game’s Early Access period

Cosmic horror has come to Early Access via Stygian: Outer Gods, but there’s much more due before the game’s full retail edition.

Outer updates

Reaching from beyond the void of time and space (or a press release) comes fresh information about Stygian: Outer Gods. From Fulqrum Publishing and developer Misterial Games, Stygian: Outer Gods is a Lovecraftian first-person adventure that sends players into a series of mysterious locations. There they face off against a cadre of otherworldly foes, solve puzzles, and solve a mystery centuries in the making.

The horror title is out right now for the PC, via Steam Early Access, but as that tag entails, it’s far from in its finished state. That means there’s much more content coming, and Fulqrum parted the veil on all of it today, in a new trailer and roadmap.

First, have a look at what’s to come live and in (un)living color:

Created by Misterial Games and Fulqrum Publishing, Stygian: Outer Gods is a survival horror game that pulls you into a hostile world that challenges your very existence. Unravel a thousand-year-old mystery, risk your sanity and face the schemes of the Outer Gods with your skills. Every bullet and every decision counts now, are you up to the task?

Haunting PC’s soon

While the above is a look at the highlights of what’s to come for Stygian: Outer Gods, Misterial Games has quite a bit planned for both Early Access and the game’s eventual retail release. The former includes two totally new areas to explore and battle across, new enemies, we weapons, and more.

Before the game’s final 1.0 release, Fulqrum Publishing and Misterial Games plan to deliver (among other updates), two new locations – the otherworldly House of Mists with its surrounding area and the mysterious Brasko family Mansion along with its estate. Both of these locales will be brought to life with new intriguing characters and deadly enemies, as well as challenging puzzles and quests.

These new locations will accompany a whole host of other additions to the game, including new characters and monsters, new quests, and new artifacts, items, and weapons – including the much-requested Tommy gun.

And that’s as well as a series of more technical updates, which will improve optimization, game balancing, localize it into new languages and add more voice-over talent!

Fulqrum Games press release

As for that mentioned version 1.0 of Stygian: Outer Gods, there’s even more on the way. Fulqrum promises “a host of new content that will, among other things, challenge players by introducing new boss fights, as well as even more locations, characters, monsters, crafting recipes and more!”

Unfortunately, there’s still no date for that full launch, though you an expect to see it land for the PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 when it’s ready to haunt.
