High on Life is back, with a sequel to Squanch Games’ FPS coming this winter

Squanch Games’ off-the-wall shooter is coming back with more alien weaponry and a way out cosmic quest in High on Life 2.

Bounty huntin’ ain’t easy

Released at the tail end of 2022, Squanch Games’ High on Life was a breath of weird air for the FPS genre. While it was a first-person shooter at its core, the game was also loaded with humor, brightly colored, and a wild storyline that saw an intergalactic cartel pushing humans to the brink of extinction. Oh, and living, smarmy weapons that talked back to you. Those too.

Well, if you loved that previous adventure and you’re up for more, are you ever in luck. Just revealed the other day, High on Life 2 will be bringing the now-series’ familiar gameplay back with a whole new story this winter. The hero of the original game is back, but has parlayed saving all of mankind into a lucrative gig as a bounty hunter.

Not that the fun and frolic is destined to last, as it turns out there’s a new alien conspiracy bubbling up, and you can guess its target.

You’ve done it. You’ve taken down an intergalactic cartel, brought humanity back from the brink of extinction, and hunted dangerous bounties to the far corners of the galaxy. Bounty hunting has brought you fortune, fame and love! But when a mysterious figure from your past reappears and puts a price on your sister’s head, your cushy life gets thrown into chaos.

Do you have what it takes to risk it all and bring down an intergalactic conspiracy that once again threatens your favorite species (humans)?

High On Life RETURNS as you and your beloved rag-tag team of alien misfits shoot, stab, and skate your way through weird alien worlds all across the galaxy to blow up an evil pharmaceutical conglomerate hell-bent on putting a price tag on human life!
