Razer unveils the HyperFlux V2 mouse mat, charges compatible mice wirelessly

Ever head to the PC for a little gaming and realize you forgot to leave your mouse on the charger? Meet Razer’s HyperFlux V2.

That really is kind of Hyper

While some of us have committed it to muscle memory that we have to place our gaming mice on the charger at the end of every session, it’s hardly foolproof. We have to admit that its slipped our minds here at BG from time to time, and it does make for some aggravating moments. But what if charging your wireless gaming mouse was a non-issue? What if it was all but automatic that your favorite device was constantly topped up?

Well, to that question, Razer answers the HyperFlux V2. Sounding like some kind of sci-fi weapon, the HyperFlux V2 is actually a mouse mat that delivers a constant charge to compatible mice that are resting on top of it.

Key features:

  • Seamless Auto-Pairing for Intelligent Connectivity: Experience intelligent wireless connectivity with seamless auto-pairing. Puck and play with no additional steps required. Pair your mouse automatically by placing it on the mat.
  • Dongle-Free Mouse and Keyboard Connectivity: The HyperSpeed Multi-Device Support connects both your mouse and keyboard to the mat.
  • LED Charging Indicator for Easy Monitoring: Monitor the mouse’s battery life using the LED charging indicator, which changes color based on battery levels. Charge until the preferred level to preserve the mouse battery’s lifespan.
  • Anti-Slip Rubber Base for Greater Stability: A grooved rubber underside keeps the mat anchored to your desk, ensuring stability even during the most vigorous gaming sessions.
Razer press release

While all of the above is pretty slick, keep in mind that the HyperFlux V2 isn’t capable of charging every mouse that Razer makes. Devices that you can make use of with it include the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K, Razer Basilisk V3 Pro, Razer Cobra Pro, and the Razer Naga V2 Pro.

As you can see above too, there’s a keyboard connectivity option. This won’t charge a wireless keyboard, but will allow you to connect one without running its cable to your PC in passthrough fashion. Users can connect their BlackWidow V4 Mini HyperSpeed, Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro, Razer DeathStalker V2 Pro, or Razer DeathStalker V2 Pro Tenkeyless via a top-mounted port.

The Razer HyperFlux V2 doesn’t look like it’s available just yet, but will be priced in at $119.99 USD when it lands.
