It’s old school survival horror, as the vampiric nasties (and other things) lurking in the depths of Eternal Evil are looking to feed.
Make ’em eat lead
Are you a fan of the golden age of survival horror? A time when health didn’t regenerate, ammo was scarce, and foes were relentless? If so, you might want to brave the world of Honor Games’ Eternal Evil, which just launched on consoles.
The new first-person horror title sounds like it revels in all of the above, sending players into a city that’s been taken by a vampire outbreak. But Eternal Evil isn’t just a straight-up shooter that happens to adapt some gameplay conventions from classic games. Nope, this one’s got a pretty big hook to it too, in the form of actually vampiric foes.
That’s right, the longer you let the monsters live, the more they feed and the stronger they get. Sounds like a problem for the game’s heroes, detective Hank Richards and ex-military man Marcus, especially since ammo isn’t exactly plentiful. Oh, and hand-holding? Yeah, sounds like you can forget that too.
In Eternal Evil, vampires don’t just attack – they feed. Every second they spend close to you makes them faster, tougher, and more brutal. Every fight is a risk. Every shot matters.
Inspired by the golden era of survival horror, Eternal Evil strips the genre back to its core:
Human Qube Games press release
tight resource management, brutal enemies, puzzle-driven progression, and zero hand-holding.
Eternal Evil is out now for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and is also available for the PC (via Steam).
