More Masters of the Universe coming from Dark Horse, with The Sword of Flaws

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe are back this fall, with a new mini-series that uncovers an ancient Preternian artifact.

Dark Horse Comics has been bringing fans fresh tales from the classic He-Man universe for a while now. Just seeing the big TMNT/MOTU crossover too, the company won’t be taking a break, as a new mini-series will be erupting from the bowels of Eternia later this year.

That book will be Masters of the Universe: The Sword of Flaws, a series that Dark Horse says will be “firmly rooted in the classic universe continuity of Masters of the Universe.” We have to admit, as cool-looking as some of the crossover stuff has been from the publisher, that little statement right there warms our hearts.

The publisher says that can expect to see He-Man, Man-at-Arms, and Teela scouring their magical world for an unearthed, ancient artifact. As fans could probably imagine though, they’re not the only ones who will be looking for this Preternian relic.

A legion of Heroic Warriors protects the magical realm known as ETERNIA. They are led by TEELA: Captain of the Royal Guard, MAN-AT-ARMS: weapons master and combat instructor, and the powerful and heroic HE-MAN. These heroes, known as the MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, keep threats like the evil Skeletor and his minions at bay. But when an ancient and evil artifact is unearthed from the depths, the Masters of the Universe will have to scour the land in search of this Preternian power…or risk it falling into the hands of their greatest enemies.

Dark Horse Comics press release

Masters of the Universe: The Sword of Flaws #1 (of 4) will be debuting on store shelves later this year, landing on September 24th, 2025.
