Tekken 8 is set to expand its roster again, this time with the vengeful Fahkumram, and Armor King coming up as well.
Thunderstruck
Bandai Namco’s latest Tekken epic is still rocking and rolling, as was revealed at the Combo Breaker 2025 event. It was there that the famed publisher revealed the latest downloadable content for the fighting game, which included two new characters.
One of those was just a tease, with returning fave Armor King, though Muay Thai fighter Fahkumram got a full and in-depth look, showing what players can expect from his gameplay. The latter character brings the game’s still-growing roster to a mighty 38 strong. Again though, Tekken 8 isn’t done there either. Armor King will bring that number to 39, with a still unannounced number 40 still coming later this year.
In the meantime though, here’s that look at Fahkumram.
Developed by Bandai Namco Studios Inc., TEKKEN 8 is the critically acclaimed sequel bringing the legendary fighting game franchise to current platforms, harnessing Unreal® Engine 5 to bring new weight and atmosphere to the game’s battles, with every character remodelled in stunning detail and new dynamic and destructible environments. The Summer DLC update brings back Fahkumram, the Muay Thai fighter who was considered one of Thailand’s national heroes. In TEKKEN 8, Fahkumram, Thailand’s ultimate weapon, proceeds down a path of no return to take revenge against the Mishima Zaibatsu.
Bandai Namco press release
Fahkumram arrives for Tekken 8 first for Season 2 Character & Stage Pass and Season 2 Character Pass holders, one July 7th, 2025. The full official release takes place 72 hours later, on July 10th. There’s no rerelease date as of yet for Armor King, though you can look for him to crash the party some time this fall.
