Sega’s revamped and ready for action Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. is on the way to modern consoles, including the Switch 2.
*Fighting noises
Released onto the PC not all that long ago, was Sega’s latest revision of the last game to bear the Virtua Fighter name. Dubbed Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O., the fighting game looked better than ever, and starred both a new round of balancing, and rollback netcode for better than ever online play. While that previous launch was for Steam only though, console fans are about to get in on the action as well.
To give them a taste of what’s to come, Sega’s released a special console trailer, showcasing the one-on-one brawling that’ll soon be available for the Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O gives players the definitive fighting experience in their quest to become the world’s best fighter, including the game’s first balance adjustments in over a decade along with rollback netcode support, allowing players to enjoy smoother online battles with other challengers on different platforms around the world.
Sega press release
While there’s no release date just yet for Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. for the Xbox Series X|S or PS5, fans can wish-list both versions as of today. Obviously that’s not available for the Switch 2 edition, since the console’s not even out yet, but stay tuned.
