Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine gets an upgrade with the Master Crafted Edition for Xbox and PC

While Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was released to both fan and critical acclaim just last year, the game that preceded it was a pretty big hit as well. Also starring Titus, though he was a Captain at the time, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine set the Ultramarines up against the foul Ork horde. And if you’re either itching to replay it, or you missed out on that Xbox 360-era game the first time, you’re about to get another chance.

Just revealed today, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition is making its way to the Xbox Series X|S and PC courtesy of developer SneakyBox, and will improve on the original in a few ways. First and most obvious is probably the look.

Fans can expect for the new version of the 2011 original to bump up the visuals to 4K, and serve up improved textures, along with modernized “3D models and visual effects”. Add to that some remastered audio, that’ll actually include totally new lines for the Orks, and a new UI, and you’ve got what seems to be a solid remastering.

Updated for a new generation by SneakyBox with 4K resolution, modernised controls, an interface overhaul, improved character models and remastered audio, the Master Crafted Edition brings the fight, the gore and the glory closer, louder and with greater impact than ever before. Packed with all of the game’s previously released DLC, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition arrives for the Xbox Series X|S and PC on June 10th. Game Pass subscribers will also find it included on the service’s roster of games, as it’ll be a day one addition.
