Disney Illusion Island Starring Mickey & Friends makes the leap to all current-gen platforms

Formerly a Switch exclusive, Disney Illusion Island Starring Mickey & Friends is coming to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Insert Mickey laugh here

We always thought it was kind of an oddity that Dlala Studios’ Disney Illusion Island Starring Mickey & Friends was a Switch exclusive. After all, the platformer is fueled by iconic Disney characters, and serves up multiplayer co-op action. Apparently publisher Nighthawk Interactive felt the same, because it’s on the way to current-gen platforms, and in short order.

The title also won’t quite be the same game that you may or may not have played on Switch. A new mode will be accompanying it at launch, called C.A.S.H., which works in Uncle Scrooge himself, as the famed miser guides players through a “Cave Adventuring Scavenger Hunt”. Not to worry if you have one of those aforementioned Switch editions though, as C.A.S.H. will be coming for that too.

From the creatives at Dlala Studios, Disney Illusion Island Starring Mickey & Friends takes players on exciting adventure as they run, jump, swim and swing their way through beautifully hand-drawn biomes in order to save the mysterious island of Monoth. Players can choose from Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy as they meet unlikely allies, defeat peculiar foes and uncover hidden secrets on a solo journey or with up to three friends.

Nighthawk Interactive press release

Disney Illusion Island Starring Mickey & Friends arrives for the Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC (via Steam, the Microsoft Store, and GOG) on May 30th, 2025. The console versions will also be getting physical editions then, so if you like adding to your IRL library, you’re covered.
