Star Wars Outlaws jumps to the Switch 2 this year

One of Ubisoft’s latest titles, the open-world adventure Star Wars Outlaws will be making its way to the Switch 2 this year.

Kay

Remember Star Wars Outlaws? Oh come on, sure you do, it was one of Ubisoft’s biggest launches of 2024, bringing Star Wars fans a new heroine in Kay Vess, and for the first time under the property’s banner, an open-world to play in.

While the game didn’t quite have the punch that some had hoped (we’re being nice) when it originally dropped, it’s coming back around for Nintendo’s sequel console. That’s right, the Switch 2 will be getting a port of Star Wars Outlaws, and it’s coming this year. Maybe having Kay and crew on the go will get more fans to buy in.

Star Wars Outlaws™ is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025! Star Wars Outlaws is the first open-world Star Wars ™ game, an action-adventure journey from Ubisoft. In Star Wars Outlaws, fans play as cunning scoundrel, Kay Vess (Humberly González), and her loyal companion Nix (Dee Bradley Baker, Star Wars: The Bad Batch™), as they attempt one of the greatest heists the Outer Rim has ever seen. Seeking the means to start a new life, players will join Kay and Nix as they fight, steal, and outwit their way through the galaxy’s crime syndicates and join the most wanted.

Ubisoft news release

There’s no release date just yet for Star Wars Outlaws on the Nintendo Switch 2, though the game is out now for the Ubisoft+ Premium subscription service, as well as the Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Amazon Luna and PC (via Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games Store, and Steam)
