Atari press release
As with the rest of the title though, it’s not just games that players will find. According to Atari, The First Console War also showcases video interviews with “M Network programmer Jane Terjung, video game historians Leonard Hermand and Mike Mika, and more”.
The First Console War arrives for all versions of Atari 50: the Anniversary Celebration in just a few days, on November 8th, 2024. It’ll drop both as an a’la carte purchase, as well as with the revised physical release, Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration Expanded Edition, for $39.99 USD. That new edition is set to arrive for the Switch and PS5 exclusively, and will include the base game along with both major DLC packs.
For extra massive Atari fans too, there’s a special limited edition release just for the Switch. That will include “Atari 2600 art cards, miniature arcade marquee signs, and an Al Alcorn Replica Syzygy Co. business card”, according to Atari. That version will run $49.99 USD.
