Rock out with the second auditory drop from Sonic X Shadow Generations

Sega’s back with another track from the Sonic X Shadow Generations soundtrack, and this time it’s out of this world.

Space is the place

Almost upon us, Sega’s Sonic X Shadow Generations is set to deliver a somewhat darker version of the 2011 platformer. This time around, Sonic Generations gets a dose of Shadow, Sonic’s trigger-happy rival, for a whole new adventure included with the original.

If you’ve been following along with our coverage of the game, then you know that Sega has also started up a series of videos to showcase the game’s remixed soundtrack. We had the first of those just about a week ago, and now the publisher is back with another.

The second installment includes a preview of Space Colony ARK: Act 1, which was originally composed by Jun Senoue. Senoue had a hand in the new remix too, along with TeddyLoid, to create one spaced-out, hard-hitting, hard-rocking track.

Sonic X Shadow Generations speeds onto the Switch, PC, and current PlayStation and Xbox platforms this October the 25th. That launch will be both physical and digital, and will also include a couple of special editions.

The Digital Deluxe Edition will include a three day head-start for play, plus “additional content” that’s not really been detailed at all by Sega. The physical Day One Edition though, has been fully revealed, and will include “Gerald Robotnik’s 28-page journal, chronicling his experience creating Shadow and the Ark Space Station”.

On top of all of that too, pre-ordering will net fans “a legacy skin for Modern Sonic based on his look from Sonic Adventure“, and signing up for Sega’s newsletter (before November 1st, 2024) will result in a “Sonic Jam Legacy Skin for Classic Sonic”. So whichever version you go for, you can grab some nifty extras.
