The somewhat-controversial remake of The Crow finally has a trailer and some imagery, with Bill Skarsgård as the title character.

Unless you’ve been social-media silent over the last few weeks, you’ve likely seen the first image of actor Bill Skarsgård as The Crow. And if you did, then you know it was a little bit controversial, since he looks very little like the classic Brandon Lee version of the anti-hero from the 90s.The new movie doesn’t seem like the remake of that classic at all though, and is being branded as a “modern reimagining of the original graphic novel by James O’Barr”.
Does it work? Well, that’s up to you to decide, though after seeing this first teaser, we’re thinking it looks like a surprisingly solid actioner. Take a peek at the first trailer for the June release below, and judge for yourself.
Soulmates Eric Draven (Skarsgård) and Shelly Webster (FKA twigs) are brutally murdered when the demons of her dark past catch up with them. Given the chance to save his true love by sacrificing himself, Eric sets out to seek merciless revenge on their killers, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to put the wrong things right.
