The denizens of Dying Light’s idyllic countryside are dying to meet you in The Following

Looking like a whole new play experience, Dying Light’s monster The Following expansion is shaping up nicely in the new trailer.

If you’ve been left out of the undead loop, the apocalyptic setting in Dying light gets an expansion in The Following, which adds way more than drivable buggies to the game. Not only does this brand new element get added to the already pretty great game, but you’ll also find new characters (including a new hero in Kyle Crane), a new story, and an all-new setting.

And that story really gets deep into the fiction behind events in the original game (and this expansion) too. Apparently, there are some shady cultists that have taken up residence in the zombie-infested grasslands that you’ll be driving through, and they’re somehow connected to the outbreak. Well, their beliefs are anyway- and Techland promises that the link will be “disturbing”.

You’ll also be talking to locals still left in the wasteland, and doing plenty of missions and tasks for them to earn their trust. You’ll need that if you’re hoping to also survive your little Sunday drive.

Still undated, The Following will run you $19.99 USD to add onto your copy of Dying Light. It’s also included in the Season Pass, so if you’ve got that, well then you’re getting The Following for ‘free’.
