Predator: Badlands’ Dek and Bud are getting Hot Toys adaptations

Cute? In a Predator movie?

Yes, apparently so, as Predator: Badlands broke the Yautja mold in a few ways. For one thing, the movie set a Predator as the lead character with Dek, and in a kind-of heroic way too. That’s definitely never been seen before. Then there was the synthetic human that he was teamed with, another first. And finally, there was Bud.

A cute little jungle-dweller on the deadly alien world that Dek was hunting across, Bud played a pretty big part in the proceedings. That’s never been a word that was associated with the franchise before though, and yeah, we mean “cute”. Nevertheless, it is now, and Dek is being paired with Bud for a new two-pack of figures from Hot Toys.

Revealed by retailer Sideshow, The Dek (Bone Bison Armor) & Bud 1/6 Scale Collectible Set features the starring alien in his bone armor. He comes fully-equipped otherwise too, with a gigantic slate of accessories. And yes, one of those is Bud, who does look to feature some articulation.

Sideshow has the pack priced in at $360 USD, with pre-orders available now. Fans can expect to see The Dek (Bone Bison Armor) & Bud 1/6 Scale Collectible Set to ship some time between April and September of 2027. Check out the full details below.

In Predator: Badlands, the ultimate hunt descends upon the planet Genna, where survival demands adaptation. The young warrior, Dek conquers this treacherous ecosystem by utilizing its resources – outfitting himself in armor forged from the remains of a massive Bone Bison. The Dek (Bone Bison Armor) & Bud 1/6 Scale Collectible Set includes a new Dek figure with a finely crafted headsculpt equipped with separate rolling eyeballs and interchangeable mandibles to bring Dek’s fierce expressions to life. Dek’s physique is accurately represented by a highly poseable body with a seamless joint design on the arms and legs.

Dek’s Bone Bison Armor is expertly crafted over a fur cloth covering and a fabric tunic, and accented by greaves and wrist gauntlets with a Luna Bug fang wrist blade. An attachable Bone Bison mask perfectly complements his primal aesthetic.

Prepared for the ultimate hunt, Dek is heavily armed with an assortment of weapons, including a wire-embedded Razor Grass whip, a Combistick (with interchangeable tips to recreate retracted or extended combat modes), a folding Plasma Sword, two Cryo Grenades, and a wire-embedded Spray Snake “Squirt” as a living shoulder cannon! 

Accompanying Dek is the Bud 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure, which stands at approximately 16 cm (6.2″) tall. Bud features a newly developed head and articulated body with highly detailed sculpted hair, perfectly capturing the character’s likeness from the hit film.

The set is completed with a specially designed rocky terrain-themed figure diorama display stand.
