The full Rambo saga is coming back, in a fresh collection. Fans will be able to add this new set to their libraries next month.
Rambo gets collected
It’s never over! Well, it’s never over for a character like John Rambo anyway. Debuting in 1982’s First Blood, the Viet Nam vet who just wanted to be left alone has become a force in pop culture. Several explosive 80s sequels saw to that, before the hero went on something of a big screen hiatus.
But that didn’t last, as he returned to theaters in 2008’s Rambo, before completing the saga in Rambo: Last Blood. Now with an origin story on the horizon, with a totally new cast, Rambo is getting a mighty collection from Lionsgate.
Rambo: Complete Collection will be that set, and it looks like it’ll come packing. Fans can look for the collection to include the full set of movies, as well as copious amounts of extras. Everything from trailers, to audio commentaries, to featurettes, and even the television edit of the original are all on tap.
Both physical and digital versions of the Rambo: Complete Collection are heading to retail release on May 26th. If you’re looking to pick up the digital version, then you’ll want to head to Amazon, as it’ll be an exclusive for the online mega-retailer. As for the physical, disc-based version, check out Lionsgate Limited for that.
Just a heads up though, because as of this writing, the package deal isn’t posted. Never fear though, as Lionsgate says pre-orders should be up some time today. And finally, if you’d like to check out the full (and massive) official list of what’s included, scroll down.
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS
Since its debut nearly four decades ago, the Rambo series starring Sylvester Stallone has become one of the most iconic action- movie franchises of all time. An ex-Green Beret haunted by memories of Vietnam, the legendary fighting machine known as Rambo has battled small-town prejudice, freed POWs, rescued his commanding officer from the Soviets, and liberated missionaries in Myanmar. In his final mission, Rambo’s vengeance is unleashed after an old friend’s granddaughter is kidnapped in Mexico.
