It’s Resident Evil Requiem week, but that’s not all that’s hitting for Nintendo’s consoles. Fallout 4, Pokémon, and more are coming up too.
Resident Evil makes a major arrival
Yes, there’s quite a bit landing for the Switch and the Switch 2 this week, but probably nothing bigger than Resident Evil Requiem. Capcom’s latest entry in the long-running survival horror franchise revisits Raccoon City for the first time since RE3, and is hitting the Switch 2 in a few ways this week.
For one thing, there’s the standalone game, which is available both digitally and as a Game Key Card. Yes, we know. We’re not thrilled with that either, but that’s the way the zombie shambles. On top of that though, there’s also a multi-pack landing in stores that includes both Resident Evil: Biohazard and Resident Evil: Village. And speaking of those earlier releases, both are getting digital launches this week as well. Is it us, or is that one heck of a lot of Resident Evil?
Past those games, the Switch 2 also receives Bethesda’s Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition. This drop presents last November’s release for the Switch for the first time. And on top of that, there’s Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and both Pokémon FireRedVersion and Pokémon LeafGreen Version.
How about some more? Sure, why not. This week also brings Scott Pilgrim EX and The Disney Afternoon Collection to the Switch 2. Wait a sec though, because there’s also Fear Effect 2: Retro Helix, Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered, the Red & Stimpy Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy Collection and tons more as well, all landing on the original Switch.
There should be something in there to pique your interest.
