Sega and The Creative Assembly Limited are rounding out the year in Olde World style. Yep, there’s more Total War: WARHAMMER III coming up.
Total War never stops in the Warhammer realm
The strategy war-game that never stops? We’re kind of getting that feeling, as Sega and The Creative Assembly Limited’s Total War: WARHAMMER III is about to get even bigger. And it’s all coming by way of the Tides of Torment content pack.
Scheduled to arrive this December, the downloadable-content will expand the base game with a trio of additional Legendary Lords. Representing High Elves, Slaanesh, and Norsca respectively, these Lords should give the game a nice infusion of freshness. And yes, there’s more to their arrival than just singular units. To that end, players can look for additional “deadly battle units, unique campaign mechanics, and narrative content”.
Get a look at the above in the trailer below.
Sega press release
Tides of Torment brings three fearsome Legendary Lords to Total War: WARHAMMER III, unleashing maritime might, serpentine slaughter, and arcane ambition across the Immortal Empires campaign. Representing the High Elves, Slaanesh, and Norsca, each Lord arrives with a formidable roster of deadly battle units, unique campaign mechanics, and narrative content.
Tides of Torment launches for Total War: WARHAMMER III, on December 4th, 2025.
Much more War(hammer) to come
Yeah, Sega isn’t even remotely done with Total War: WARHAMMER III, or the series in general. While the above is great for one specific title, December 4th will also play host to a special presentation. That’ll include a look at the next chapter of the series itself, which should make it a must-see for fans.
The 25thAnniversary Showcase will be the place, as Sega unveils a “flagship video presentation unveiling what’s next for the franchise.” And you bet that fans of both fantasy and history will want to check it out. The publisher says you can expect to see “new fantasy and historical project announcements, alongside commentary from the development teams shaping the future of Total War.”
Stay tuned, because Sega will be back with announcements about the time and method of tuning in some time soon. Speaking of times and dates, there’s more coming up for Total War: WARHAMMER III too, though it’s sans release date.
Nevertheless, the free Patch 7.0 will include the Masque of Slaanesh Legendary Lord. This cosmic creep will bring “a brand-new campaign experience”, so watch for her landing. Packed in with her in the Patch will also be “new legacy updates” for the High Elves, Slaanesh, and Norsca. That’ll allow for a return to past campaigns, as well as “new gameplay improvements”.
