DC reveals the full lineup for this fall’s DC KO, plus a Dan Mora variant cover

DC Comics’ big deal event, DC K.O. is rounding out into a slugfest of epic proportions. And it’ll have some covers to match.

It actually stands for “King Omega”

The big DC Comics event for 2025 actually hasn’t happened yet. Yes, the year’s been full of major storylines for DC’s stable of heroes, surrounding primarily Batman and Superman, but there’s one more big punch yet to be thrown, and it’s DC K.O..

More of what you’d expect from a comic book ‘event’ DC K.O. is essentially a tournament. Featuring 32 men and women, this won’t be a tourney like any you’ve seen before though, as the winner will inherit Darkseid’s power. So yeah, that’s where the “King Omega” title comes from.

The story will feature the heavy-hitters of DC’s pantheon for sure, but now we know the full lineup, and it’s not completely what we expected. While Superman and Wonder Woman will be included, so will the likes of Jay Garrick, Giganta, Starro, Vixen, and Cheetah. There are some big time dark horse candidates in there for sure.

A Dan Mora variant cover was the impetus for the big reveal, which you can check out below.

Top row, left to right: Power Girl, Superman, Lex Luthor, Supergirl, Black Lightning, Guy Gardner, Giganta, Captain Atom
2nd row: Damian Wayne, Batman, Red Hood, Batwoman, Jay Garrick, Cheetah, Cyborg, Big Barda
3rd row: Plastic Man, Aquaman, Harley Quinn, Lobo, Conner Hawke, Star Sapphire, Vixen, Zatanna
Bottom row: Metamorpho, Wonder Woman, Swamp Thing, Firestorm, King Shark, Hawkman, The Demon, Starro

Written by Scott Snyder with art by Javi Fernández, DC K.O. is a no-holds-barred event series launching on October 8, 2025, as part of DC’s All In publishing initiative. The bracket tournament pits heroes against one another in escalating battles—each round unlocking new power, new consequences, and new revelations.

“You have to be merciless to win,” said Snyder. “And when you’re out, you’re out.”

“Each level is a new challenge,” added Joshua Williamson, co-architect of DC K.O. “And the tournament will reveal unexpected heroes—some you won’t believe will go really far in the fights.”

DC Comics press release

The Mora variant you see above will be on shelves alongside DC K.O. #1‘s main cover, hailing from Javi Fernández. With an event like this though, you bet there’ll be more alts to come. DC hasn’t taken the wraps off of them just yet though, so stay tuned. The publisher promises there’s much more to come, as we head towards launch.

As for when that’ll be, fans can look for DC K.O. #1 to arrive on October 8th.
