Technically the followup to director Sam Raimi’s first Evil Dead film, Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn was really more of a remake. The 1987 flick rebooted more than the story too, kicking it from straight horror into a horror/comedy tone. That move gave the series a life that it’s still arguably best known for today.
But while the sequel added a lot more comedy to the mixture, it still didn’t skimp on the horror. As any fan can tell you, there was still blood and gore aplenty in Evil Dead 2. And while actor Bruce Campbell’s Ash was on his way to becoming a horror-movie superhero, he wasn’t indestructible. One of the biggest and well-known moments from the movie actually saw Ash possessed but the evil of the book, giving rise to “Deadite Ash“.
As you can see from the headline, that’s just who we’ve got here. Coming up from Asmus Collectibles, Deadite Ash looks to be a pretty great recreation of the hero from those pivotal movie moments. The figure sports a great looking facial sculpt (two of ’em actually), and a host of accessories.
