This one’s for the pros, as Razer has launched a pair of new controllers that look to serve the competitive PC gaming set.
Taking control
When you think about it, it’s actually not all that often that there’s a controller launched specifically for the PC. They obviously do exist, don’t get us wrong, but typically a PC compatible controller also touts console compatibility. Then again, this is Razer that we’re talking about. PC gaming is kind of the company’s sweet spot
And with that in mind, we’d like to introduce you to the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro 8K PC.

“PC gamers have long demanded a controller that doesn’t compromise on speed, precision, or customization,” said Nick Bourne, Head of Mobile and Console Division at Razer. “With the Wolverine V3 Pro 8K PC, we’ve delivered exactly that — a controller built specifically for the PC ecosystem. From the industry’s fastest polling rate to our lightest wireless form factor, this is the definitive device for competitive PC players who want every advantage.”
Razer press release
Want to talk about bells and whistles? The Wolverine V3 Pro 8K PC has plenty of those. According to Razer, the controller serves up “true 8000 Hz polling in both wired and wireless modes”, and comes complete with “TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) Thumbsticks”.
If you aren’t familiar with that technology, Razer says that it “provides superior anti-drift performance and maintains consistent resistance over time”. They don’t stop there though, as the sticks can actually be swapped out for customizability as well.
Want more? Well, that’s a good thing, because along with a carrying case and 2m braided cable, this controller has plenty.

Pro-Grade Controls and Customization for PC
Engineered for competitive versatility, the controller includes:
Razer press release
- 4 Mouse Click Back Buttons and 2 Claw Grip Bumpers: Fully remappable with the same ultra-responsive actuation found in Razer’s top-tier gaming mice.
- Razer Pro HyperTriggers: Instantly switch between rapid-fire mouse clicks and full analog control.
- Mecha-Tactile PBT Action Buttons and 8-Way Floating D-Pad: Built with durable doubleshot PBT and responsive microswitches for crisp, tactile feedback.
- Advanced Customization via Synapse 4: Razer’s proprietary software enables users to finetune thumbstick sensitivity, remap buttons, and store up to four onboard profiles optimized for PC play.
Wired for play

Hang on though, because we’re not done. Along with the above, also dropping is the Wolverine V3 Pro 8K Tournament Edition. Featuring “the same elite-level features” as the controller we detailed above, the Wolverine V3 Pro 8K Tournament Edition has one big difference.
You guessed it, this one’s wired, and designed for players who demand maximum responsiveness. As you can imagine, you should be able to squeeze a little more of that out of a wired connection, as opposed to a wireless one.
And then there’s also that the Wolverine V3 Pro 8K Tournament Edition is less expensive than the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro 8K PC. Food for thought there, for anyone looking to get into the line.
If you are though, you’ll be happy to know that both controllers are available now. Fans can find them via Razer’s stores and online shop, as well as “select retailers worldwide”. The Razer Wolverine V3 Pro 8K PC (wireless model) is priced in at $199.99 USD, while the Wolverine V3 Pro 8K Tournament Edition (wired model) is $119.99 USD.
