Hot Toys’ T-1000 gets a first-look via the latest Sideshow unboxing

The iconic villain of James Cameron’s Terminator 2 is getting an impressive new look from Hot Toys, and Sideshow has the unboxing.

On the hunt

One of the marquee action movies of the era arrived in theaters with 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day. From director James Cameron, the high-octane sequel once again starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton, but brought in a new villain with the T-1000.

An incredibly advanced (especially for the time) concept, the T-1000 was made of a mimetic polyalloy, and could change shape, becoming anyone and creating weapons out of itself. Brought to life by actor Robert Patrick, the menacing liquid metal monster became instantly iconic, and one of the greatest sci-fi bad guys of all time. Now he’s coming back to toy collector’s shelves too, via Hot Toys.

The figure will be the second version of the T-1000 from the high-end company, and certainly looks to be pretty flat-out incredible. As you’ll see in the unboxing from retailer Sideshow below, he’s absolutely loaded with accessories, including several possible looks from the film, and a killer ‘foundry’ display base that actually lights up.

Based on his on-screen appearance in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), the T-1000 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure by Hot Toys masterfully captures the look of Robert Patrick in this iconic role.

The figure comes with two hand-painted headsculpts: a version featuring Hot Toys’ rolling eyeball system, plus a second swap-out, battle-damaged version with liquid metal design and an adjustable left eye. This highly poseable figure features 30 points of articulation and comes with a variety of swap-out hands including three liquid metal effect forearms.

The T-1000 wears a tailored outfit including a police jacket, a shirt with badge and nametag, plus a utility belt. Additional clothing allows for a variety of display options with two pairs of pants and three types of shoes, including one with a liquid metal effect.

Accessories include a helmet, a flashlight, a walkie-talkie, a pair of sunglasses, a pair of handcuffs, a submachine gun, a pistol, and a set of magnetic liquid metal effects. A specially designed steel mill-themed base with LED light-up function allows collectors to create a cinematic display.

Challenge the fate of mankind with the T-1000 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure by Hot Toys. Available to pre-order now from Sideshow.com.

Sideshow press release

The T-1000 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure is expected to ship some time between October and March of 2026, and is priced at $330 USD. Pre-orders are still open via Sideshow.
