Mario Paint’s addition to the Nintendo Switch Online arena headlines a week that includes Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound and more.
Put that mouse to good use
At long last, Nintendo Switch Online is getting creative. Yes, Mario Paint is definitely a stellar addition to the subscriber platform’s lineup. If you don’t recall its original release, it was a niche hit for the SNES, but hasn’t been seen since. So for the creativity-focused piece of software to get a re-release for Switch Online subscribers, well that’s just all kinds of cool.
It’s not just Mario Paint this week though, as another game shares the spotlight, with Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game. From Wētā Workshop, this foray into Middle-earth is billed as a way to experience the “cosy life of a Hobbit in the wonderfully serene landscape of the Shire”. With that, you should be getting the picture that this one isn’t for those who want all out action though, and that’s where another new release might pick up some slack.
That game would be Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, a stellar looking side-scrolling action title from the 2D masters at Dotemu and The Game Kitchen. This new action title brings the legendary property back to its roots, and adds two new playable heroes who must hack and slash their way through an all-new story.
