Nintendo rounds out July with a 25min Nintendo Direct on upcoming games

A well timed Partner Showcase will be ending this month, as the games giant uncovers details on upcoming titles for the Switch and Switch 2.

Got any of that Metroid news?

Put simply, no. Nintendo won’t be talking about first-party titles in tomorrow’s just-announced Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase. So fans shouldn’t expect to see Metroid Prime 4 discussed, or anything else straight from the company. But with that subtitle in mind, there will be games included from Nintendo’s “publishing partners”. And there’ll possibly be quite a few of those too.

The broadcast will total-up at some 25 minutes in length, and cover games releasing for both the Switch and Switch 2. Given the timing, fans can probably look for a number of big Holiday Season releases to be gone over, as well as fall releases and maybe a few 2026 games as well.

Will we see some complete surprises? Could be, as that seems to be a common theme for Directs. From the wording of the press release though, it seems more likely that most of it will contain information about games that’ve already been revealed.

Join us for a Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase on July 31 at 6 a.m. PT! Tune in for roughly 25 minutes of information on upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch games from our publishing partners

Nintendo press release

However it shakes out, stay tuned. The Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase will kick off at 6am pacific time, on July 31st.
