it’s big year for Godzilla and his fans, with seven decades in the bag, and TOHO is set to celebrate with a panel at SDCC.

Godzilla fans from just about any angle are going to want to see this year’s SDCC TOHO panel. The event will be celebrating the big guy’s 70th anniversary, crashing the San Diego Convention Center on Friday, July 25th.
Some huge names will be on hand for the presentation, including The director of Shin Godzilla, Shinji Higuchi. He’ll be joined by Super7’s Brian Flynn, Mondo’s Hector Arce and Peter Santa, plus Jeff Gordon, from Bandai. But the panel will showcase more than collectibles, with a set of names from the world of comics too. DC Comics’ writer Brian Buccellato will be there, representing Justice League v Godzilla v Kong, with IDW Comics’ Tim Seeley and Jake Williams.

Toho International, the Japanese studio’s U.S.-based subsidiary, announced a can’t-miss panel at San Diego Comic-Con dedicated to one of the most iconic and enduring figures in pop culture history, Godzilla.
The Godzilla at 70: Seven Decades of the King of the Monsters panel will be held at the San Diego Convention Center on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 4:15 pm. This panel will feature Shinji Higuchi, co-director of Shin Godzilla, alongside panelists from leading consumer products partners including Brian Flynn, Founder of Super7, Hector Arce and Peter Santa, Senior Directors of Creative and Product Development at Mondo, and Jeff Gordon, Director, Franchise and Retail Brand Development at Bandai, as well as top comic publishing partners, DC Comics, Justice League v Godzilla v Kong writer Brian Buccellato and IDW ComicsWriter Tim Seeley and Editor Jake Williams.
Moderated by Drew Taylor from The Wrap, the panel will spotlight the King of the Monsters across film, comics, and consumer products, offering fans an opportunity to see what’s next for the iconic franchise.
