Ben Affleck’s action sequel, The Accountant 2 hits Prime Video this week

Already coming to streaming is The Accountant 2, as the action packed flick comes to Prime Video this week.

Yeah, already

You might call us crazy, but we’re not huge fans of the rapid turnaround that theatrical films seem to have these days, as goes home viewing. It seems like the pandemic period has irrevocably changed the speed at which movies are ported to home video (in all its forms) though, and so here we are with another arrival. Or, almost another arrival anyway.

This week will see The Accountant 2 make the leap from the big to the small screen. The sequel debuted in theaters on April 25th, and brought Ben Affleck’s Christian Wolff and his brother Brax (Jon Bernthal) back from the 2016 original for a new round of action. This time the bros’ found themselves on the trail of a killer, one who murdered an old friend of Wolff’s.

Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) has a talent for solving complex problems. When an old acquaintance is murdered, leaving behind a cryptic message to “find the accountant,” Wolff is compelled to solve the case. Realizing more extreme measures are necessary, Wolff recruits his estranged and highly lethal brother, Brax (Jon Bernthal), to help. In partnership with U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), they uncover a deadly conspiracy, becoming targets of a ruthless network of killers who will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried.

Amazon MGM Studios press release
